Most recently, in leadership roles with Mercy Corps in East Africa and the Middle East, Matt has had the privilege of leading and supporting talented, dedicated teams, while working alongside local actors, communities and private sector partners to strengthen and expand their collective impact.

Having also lived in West Africa and Central Asia, Matt’s global perspective has shaped his approach to work. He brings a practical, hands-on mindset, grounded in the realities of working in challenging and difficult environments. Committed to engaging intractable issues, he prioritizes people and sustainable solutions to complex challenges.

As an amateur writer and photographer, Matt deeply values the creative power that is inherent in art and storytelling. He strives to harness this creativity as a tool for driving positive social change.
